School bells

Conor's school used to be part of the Mission Dolores Catholic school, and he's in the same building. Here's a view of what it would have been like for him 50 years ago.

Date 1953 Sep. 10. Newscopy: "SCHOOL BELLS CLANG OUT VACATION END--The advance guard of San Francisco students returned to their studies today as classes were resumed in parochial schools. Public schools will open their doors Monday morning. Above, Sisters at the Notre Dame elementary school for girls, Sixteenth and Dolores streets, are lining up first graders to march to their classrooms. Mothers are shown scattered around the school yard."
